Clarence Playford

Clarence was born in Darwin and grew up with his family between Maningrida (NT), Grafton (NSW) and Newcastle (NSW). Clarence values his saltwater origins and lifestyle; when he's not bringing people together through his love of music, his passion for sailing and surfing prevails.

Founder of Ackeron St Records and Monotoca Music, Clarence has been working in the music industry as a musician, producer/engineer and event organiser. For the last 5 years Clarence has been playing, producing, touring and collaborating on multiple projects to remote regions across the NT.

Clarence has a passion for working with young people and loves sharing musical knowledge through a community and strength-based approach to facilitating intergenerational programs.
