Katrina Fong Lim

Katrina Fong Lim is an inspirational speaker who will share both technical skill with home truths. She has extensive experience in management, governance and leadership. From 2012 to 2017 Katrina Fong Lim served as Lord Mayor of City of Darwin. An honour she shares with her father, Alec Fong Lim.

Katrina’s work history includes 13 years with the Commonwealth Public Service and 30 years working in the not for profit community sector, including at the YWCA, Crafts Council, NT Centenary of Federation and the Australia Day Council NT. She has also dabbled in private enterprise, being sole trader of a small business delivering Financial Management Training.

Katrina is currently the Finance Officer of Variety the children’s charity NT. In 2021 she was appointed as a Liquor Commissioner. Current Board roles include Chair of the Christmas in Darwin Association and Treasurer of Industry Skills Advisory Council NT. In 2018 Katrina was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her work in Local Government and the Community Sector.
